Have questions about enrolling at St. Paul Lutheran School? You're in the right place. Here are the answers to the questions families ask most often about our admissions process, tuition, and financial aid.
Who Can Apply to St. Paul Lutheran School?
Any family is welcome to apply. St. Paul is rooted in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, but church membership is not a requirement for enrollment. We welcome families from all faith backgrounds who are looking for a rigorous, Christ-centered education for their child. Our preschool serves children ages 3 and 4, and our K–8 program accepts students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
What Is the Admissions Process?
Getting started is simple. Here are the three steps:
- Step 1: Schedule a meeting by calling our school office at 248-546-6555 or reaching out through our contact page.
- Step 2: Submit your application by completing the New Student Application, scheduling new student placement testing, and providing your child's last two report cards.
- Step 3: Finalize registration by submitting completed enrollment forms and registration fees, and enrolling in FACTS for tuition management.
Our team is here to guide you through each step. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions along the way.
Do You Accept Transfer Students Mid-Year?
Yes. Transfer students are welcome at any grade level throughout the school year. If your family is considering a mid-year transition, reach out to us directly and we'll walk you through the process and help make the move as smooth as possible for your child.
Is There a Placement Test?
Yes. New students are asked to complete placement testing as part of the application process. This helps our teachers understand where each child is academically so they can support them well from day one. Our goal is always to set students up for success, not to screen them out.
Is Financial Aid Available?
Yes. Financial aid is available for qualifying families. The application process opens each mid-spring, and families receive their financial aid allocation by late May or early June. If you have questions about whether your family might qualify, please reach out and we'll have an honest conversation about what's available.
How Do I Apply for Financial Aid?
Contact our school office to begin the financial aid application process. You can call us at 248-546-6555 or reach out through our contact page. Our team will walk you through everything you need to know and make sure you don't miss the application window.
Is There a Sibling Discount?
Yes. Families with more than one child enrolled at St. Paul receive a tuition discount for each additional child. It's one of the ways we try to make a St. Paul education accessible for families of all sizes.
Do You Offer a Referral Program?
Yes. When a current St. Paul family refers a new family who enrolls, both families receive a $500 tuition discount. It's a meaningful benefit that we'd love more families to take advantage of. Ask us about it when you call or stop by.
What Payment Plan Options Are Available?
St. Paul offers several payment period options so you can choose the tuition schedule that works best for your family's budget. Contact us to learn about the available plans and find the one that fits your situation.
Where Can I Find Enrollment Forms?
All enrollment forms are available on our forms download page. Key documents include the Application for Admission, Student/Parent Handbook, Health Appraisal Form, Dress Code Policy, and Technology Policy, among others.
