OUR STORY

St. Paul Lutheran School

Over 100 Years of Christian Education in Royal Oak

St. Paul Lutheran School has been part of the Royal Oak community longer than most families can remember. Faith and academic excellence are not separate pursuits here. They have always been one and the same.

Where It All Began

In 1873, St. Paul Lutheran Church was established in a small wooden chapel in the heart of Royal Oak. The school opened in 1916 with just eleven students, and what started small has continued to grow. The campus expanded steadily through the mid-twentieth century, and the community that built it kept showing up, kept investing, and kept believing the school was worth building.

That same commitment defines St. Paul today.

Our Mission

St. Paul Lutheran School equips children for a life of service with a foundation of academic, physical, spiritual, and social maturity centered around Jesus Christ.

In practice, that means students leave St. Paul ready for high school and ready for life. They can think critically, communicate clearly, and engage the world with confidence and character. Faith is not something they study here. It is something they live.

Who We Serve

St. Paul welcomes families from all backgrounds. While our roots are in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, our doors are open to church members and non-members alike. What unites our families is a shared desire for a school that takes both education and faith seriously.

If that sounds like what you have been looking for, we would love to meet you.
